My name is Ivona and I am from Portugal. I am a native European Portuguese speaker. I have a University degree in Culture of Science and a Certification as a non-formal teacher. I consider myself very patient, enthusiastic and a dedicated teacher, who wants all students to be successful learners. I love traveling, reading, watching movies, trekking and exercising outdoors. My lessons are based on student's goals and interests. I adapt the way I teach to each person providing different teaching styles and methods. I will focus more on casual conversations, work with the pronunciation and phonetic and exercise the grammar and the vocabulary.
Being a native European Portuguese speaker I do believe it is an advantage for you to be successful to learn this language.教材

If anyone is looking for a new Portuguese teacher, look no further! I have taken countless of lessons from different teachers here on Italki, and nobody stands close to Sra. Ivona.
As a complete beginner I must say I am very pleased with the first two lessons we have completed. Sra. Ivona forces me to speak a lot during our lessons, and her lessons are both structural and easy to understand (even though everything is taught in Portuguese! (my request)). She uses both her own materials, as well as other books to work on different grammar points.
I feel like I get a lot out of every lesson, and I am looking forward to continue working with Sra. Ivona to improve my Portuguese. I recommend this teacher to anyone seeking a positive, structural and engaging teacher.
