I have over nine years of teaching experience, including teaching people whose first language is not Korean. I also teach as a teacher in Korea now. When I graduated college, while working as an administrative assistant I realized that I wanted to pursue teaching. I learned that teaching Korean to other nationality would make a big difference and great impact in my personality. Now, I am really enjoying it and I know that I want it to be my permanent career.

Former Hotelier Begins a New Journey! Expert in Korean Culture, Travel, and Basic Korean Language! I have nearly 500 hours of experience in volunteer language teaching. Additionally, I have worked at the Korean branch of an American company and have experience as a front desk staff member at a global chain hotel. During my graduate studies, I completed coursework in education, and I am currently in my final semester of obtaining a Korean language teaching certification. I was in charge of the beginner's class in Korean, gave various Korean culture classes in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, and had experience in teaching Korean classes as well as visa interview classes. All the students I taught have come to Korea to study and achieve their dreams such as employment and study. ✍In Korea, the university's language school also taught beginner students of various nationalities such as China, Russia, and Vietnam. The university's language school uses ONLY Korean in class. Many students have returned to their home countries due to the pandemic, but they still maintain close relationships.

Languages are a wonderful tool to explore the greater unknown~ I want to share my rich experience in language learning along with the different cultures as well. As someone who is bilingual (and at one point, trilingual^^) and had to learn 2 different foreign languages at an older age, I understand how challenging language learning can be. But I also believe that learning languages goes beyond words and experiencing the culture is as equally important.

TPRS (Fun and easy method) with 5 years of experience I had 3 years of teaching English to Koreans before I started teaching Korean. Because of these experiences, I assumed that teaching Korean would be easy for me. However, the reality was different from my imagination. Since I had never been a beginner in the Korean language, it was very hard for me to relate to the students. In the beginning, I had a hard time understanding how non-Koreans process Korean in their brain as a language. So, I had to put a lot of effort to see Korean sentences from the student’s perspective. Now with more experience, I have much more understanding of how students would feel when they encounter new sentences or expressions.

I feel so satisfied when I help people understand the things which confuse them clear. now I've been teaching Korean online for one year. I've met students from beginner to intermediate level and from 8 years old to adults. I can speak English(C1) and Chinese(B1) so if students need to understand better I can explain things clear. Also, using my own experience learning those languages can encourage students to stay on their study.

In Korea, I taught students who came as exchange students or for language training. In England, I met people who wanted to learn Korean. This happened at work and at social meetups. I really enjoyed teaching new people my language. In terms of years, it's been about 5 years of teaching. I met students in various places and their needs and goals were all different. As I had lessons tailored to individual students, I taught from basic Korean conversations to high-level Korean language such as presentations and CVs.
