How do you use the word “ uncouth” ? Is it common in spoken English ?

It just means rude, ill-mannered. For example, talking loudly in public is uncouth. Speaking with food in your mouth is uncouth. I'd say it's probably widely understood but not commonly used. Rude, impolite and ill-mannered are all probably more common
