What does 'Make me in the middle' mean? What does 'make me in the middle' phrase mean? Could not find it on the Internet. It is from famous Zedd, Maren Morris, Grey song. What a hell can that mean?

The song asks "Why don't you just meet me in the middle?" . She is asking her lover to compromise with her.

The phrase comes from financial dealings, say someone wants $100.00 for an item and someone else only wants to pay $80.00.  One will suggest "Why don't we just meet in the middle?" and strike a deal at $90.00.  Meeting in the middle is supposed to be quick and fair to both sides.

Their is a sexual connotation in this song too that is not normally associated with the phrase.  She yearns for his skin on hers - their agreement, their 'meeting in the middle' will bring about a sexual result.  The double meaning here being the meeting of the middle of their bodies.  Once again, a  sexual meaning is not normally associated with the phrase.  A bit of poetic license :-)

Its hard to say.  I think she wants to reach a compromise on some sort of disagreement they had first, then they will have sex.  The compromise could even be motivated by sexual desire.  Make up sex is world renowned after all.

But it could be as you say, the whole song could just be a sexual invitation and she will meet him somewhere halfway between their two apartments/houses.  That would be pretty advanced for me, but then I am an old fuddy duddy after all.

Nikki, thanks. Right, NealC! It is 'Why don't you just meet me in the middle?' She sings, as if it is 'make me'. (Sometimes, it's hard to comprehend songs in a foreign language.)

NealC, thank you for a detailed explanation. I am looking at the dictionary now. Compromise here means expose to discredit, or endanger, or reach a compromise? Oh, I think, it is the latter, because they want to come to consensus about having a sex, am I right? Why the phrase is so strange? Literally, I would think that they want to meet somewhere between her home and his home to have sex. That is the first thing that comes to my mind when I listen to this song.

Do you maybe mean "monkey in the middle"? If so, it is a children's game where 2 or 3 people toss a ball around, keeping it away from the person in the center. I've also heard piggy be used in place of monkey. The term has also been used as slang for being under pressure between two arguing people or parties. I hope this helps!
