Love and Death , Woody Allen 1975

Natasha, to love is to suffer.
To avoid suffering, one must not love.
But then one suffers from not loving.
Therefore, to love is to suffer.
Not to love is to suffer.
To suffer is to suffer.
To be happy is to love.
To be happy, then, is to suffer,
but suffering makes one unhappy.
Therefore, to be unhappy one must love,
or love to suffer,
or suffer from too much happiness...
I hope you're getting this down.

What do you really think???

I’ve decided to come back and support the topic.

Woody Allen is the Genius.  I watched “ Death and Love” a few times and was laughing nonstop.

Thanks for posting this dialogue, Mohsen.

The link to this video is on my profile. I think it’s hilariously and so Russian with our philosophical attitudes to this love. The dialogue starts even funnier.

We often love reasoning about nothing. There is a part of Russian people.

I personally prefer to love and to suffer:)
