News about italki's Classroom video chat/conferencing app...
Below is a message I received today from italki support:
*************************************
Dear Richard,
We've been making some improvements for Teachers and we wanted to share some of these updates:
*NEW* italki Classroom Screenshare function (download plug-in now!)
italki’s own video chat software, italki Classroom, now has an added screenshare function. Currently this function is only supported on Google Chrome browsers. Download the screenshare plug-in now!

My comments
1) The following dictionaries and the following video chat programs do not list the adjectival terms "screenshare" nor "screen share":
Zoom, join.me, GoToMeeting, Google, Skype, Oxford, Merriam-Webster, Cambridge
2) So, spelling aside, if the Classroom program is only supported on Google Chrome (only works when using Google Chrome browser) then both/either teachers or students who do not have Chrome will have to download and install the Chrome browser, and use Chrome whenever they use italki's Classroom video chat/conferencing program.

Considering the limitations listed above, do you intend to use italki's Classroom?
NOTE: Don't forget that Skype was planning to completely eliminate all versions of Skype and force everyone to use their updated version 8.0xxx, however they have cancelled plans to force everyone to upgrade to the 8 version because of all the horrible feedback they received. In other words, MS will continue to support and allow the use of Skype versions below 8.0.
