Pepe, you could probably become a tutor, but ask yourself this: If you were going to pay for language lessons from a teacher or tutor would you prefer someone with at least C2 level or would you be fine if they were only C1? I'm not saying it's impossible, but think of your market. How many students are going to pay to have someone with a lower language level than other teachers and tutors? What price would they be willing to pay if they were willing to sacrifice language level from there teacher/tutor?

I think you would be far more successful as a Russian teacher/tutor who has an advanced level of English. This would be beneficial to beginners that already speak English.

I know the market for English teachers/tutors is large and you are probably hoping to leverage your current skills to "get a piece of the pie", but I don't think it's terribly realistic. You would be competing in a market that is already flooded with natives and people with a C2 level (based on certificates, etc).

How hard would it be for you to complete your C2 certification? If you are close to that, then maybe that route might be more successful.
