This question helps to understand how long you can be "friends" and if you can be real friends.

Such a simple question. Almost all of guys ask a girl with the similar question, just like "are you single? or when will you getting married?"

it's weird question but I think if someone ask about it, means :

1. he don't want to make a friend to someone who has spouse because he don't want to disturb your relationship

2. He want you to be his friend if you are single and expect that one day both of you will be more than friend

I also wouldn't liked it to be asked although I'm a man but you know I do not have any problem saying the truth I would be alone. Why? Because normally in internet your chat partner sits on the other side of the world so far away he/she never could reach you. But saying a lie that for example you are already with someone would be a horrible mistake because lying is not good at all even in the internet. By the way if you dislike the questions of those people there is always a blocking function to block such accounts.

I guess, if answered yes, then the follow-up question will be, "Can I visit you"? or in few cases "Can you visit me?". This question may be immediate or may be after many days.

In very few cases, the follow-up statement can be, "It is tough living alone, isn't it? You are great! You are able to stand on your feet without depending on parents."
