Do you agree with this phrase: ''Time is money''? Is it important in your life?

To me it means that everything you do for a person is exchange for money. What's it for you?

I appreciate the answers. :)

There is no link between the two. Sometimes you can make a lot of money in little time or almost no time. At other times you might end up loosing all your money in no time despite trying to make lot of money spending all your time.

It is all about timing rather than time. And more importantly about the effectivenes of your effort.

Here is the story to make you understand it better:

<em>A giant ship engine failed. The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure but how to fix the engine.</em>

<em>Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was young. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.</em>

<em>Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed!</em>

<em>A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars.</em>

<em>'What?!' the owners exclaimed. 'He hardly did anything!'</em>

<em>So they wrote the old man a note saying, 'Please send us an itemized bill.'</em>

<em>The man sent a bill that read:</em>

<em>Tapping with a hammer...... ......... ........ $ 2.00</em>
<em>Knowing where to tap.......... ......... ...... $ 9, 998.00</em>

<em>Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort makes all the difference!</em>

The Mexican fisherman asked, "But señor, how long will this all take?" To which the businessman replied, "15-20 years." "But what then, señor?" The businessman laughed and said, "That's the best part! When the time is right you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich. You would make millions." "Millions, señor? Then what?" The businessman said, "Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take a siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos."

The fisherman, still smiling, looked up and said, "Isn't that what I'm doing right now?".

<em>So.. People spend their time to make money, then use that money to buy time. The answers here is that, It is not time more important than money, or reverse. The most important thing is how you use it, balance it to make you happy :)</em>

time is priceless since we are never able to get it back when we waste it

In my opinion, it just means that time is valuable.

Yes I agree with it. Actually, just like others have said, time might be worth <em>more</em> than money. You can always earn more money, but you can never get time back. Money is replaceable, while time isn't.

Some people have money but no time to enjoy that money. Some people have plenty of time and no money to enjoy that free time.
