I wonder if anyone has come up with an idea to improve their spoken skills without looking for people to talk with. If so, would you like to share your idea with us? Sometimes we get stuck by thinking that speaking to others is the only way to improve.
Simulating a presentation of a certain topic to smb. The source can be a visual text, a podcast or a video--that's not important. What's essential is to have an interesting topic, prepare key words and a sort of plan and then talk. You can record yourself as well because this allows you to analyze your speed, logic, and mistakes.
Maybe you could speak with yourself, sing songs or watch films with subtitles in the language you are going to learn.
Thank you all for your comments. I guess we often waste valuable time by trying to find someone to practice with instead of doing other things to improve.
Singing along while reading the lyrics. Watching TV dramas with subtitles.
