今天是星期二。 我去了野餐。

Almost flawless.  I suggest you put 了 at the end of the sentence to emphasize the picnic rather than "went".  You are improving :)

                         去.......了 Ex. 去"考試"了/去"吃飯"了/去"買東西"了/去"睡覺"了

Hi Missy, 

You have several options here:

1. 今天是星期二。 我將去野餐。 I will go... (future tense)

2. 今天是星期二。 我想去野餐。 I want to go ... (present tense)

3. 今天是星期二。 我要去野餐。 same as 2

4. 今天是星期二。 我正要去野餐。I am about to go ... (Present tense)

5.  今天是星期二。 野餐已經結束了。 (The action has been completed)
