月令 is a very very ancient word, actually I didn't know that it means weather until I googled it (!).

Last week my family went to the beach. We'll go again next week.
上星期我的家人去过海滩。下星期我们也要去。

If here by "family" you means yourself went as well, you should say “我们一家” or “我和家人”, while “我的家人” would means your family but you.

My daughter has a new surfboard. She wants to learn to surf.
我的女儿有一个新的冲浪板。她要学冲浪。????
