There are five people in my family. My parents, my wife, and my daughter. My daughter is in kindergarten. I work far from my home, I am back home on the weekend. I will play with my daughter on weekends, we play GO, read, etc. My mother believes in Buddhism. My father likes a drink. My wife works not far from home, she likes sour and spicy food.

"Sour" is used in the phrase "sweet and sour" (which I think is mostly a Schezwan sort of combination). Otherwise "sour" has a negative connotation with food. I think all you need to say is "spicy". I hope that helps!
