Первое что пришло на ум: "Пусть бегут". The first that came to my mind ("Let run"): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILRe9dHyby8 "the old crocodile cartton from russia. he sings about celebrating his birthday, regardless of the rain because birthdays only come once a year" =)

We sang "каравай" when I was in a kinder-garden. We took each other hand by hand and formed a circle around the hero of the occasion, than we walked around singing the song. When we was singing words: " вот такой ширины" we tried to form as wide circle as we could, when we was singing: " вот такой ужины " we tried to get to the person as close as we could. Almost no one sings it anymore it`s considered old fashioned and too childish. Most of the modern children and the adults sing "happy birthday to you" sometimes in English, sometimes in Russian.

Thanks Aleksey, it's kind of strange for a fact that a country does not has its own version of birthday song, is it cultural ? I agree globalisation has an impact, it might not be true 'happy birthday to you' is so widely known. Just like alphabet song, each language has its own version, isn't it ?
