Means: 1 - "something that you say in order to show that you understand why someone has said or done something". Look at the example below. 2- "That's reasonable; I agree." Examples: a. Rita: I'll wait just one more day. Ted: Fair enough, you've been very patient with me. Thank you. b. A: 'I don't feel like going out tonight. I've got a bit of a headache.' B: 'Fair enough.' C. Having health warnings on cigarette packets is fair enough but I think alcohol should carry warnings too. Hope this will help. ;)

The expression "fair enough" is used to acknowledge a point. Its purpose is to concede that something is correct and reasonable. "You have completed your driver's training, fair enough, but are you certain you can pass the driver's examination?"

You can say "fair enough" as an informal response in a conversation/debate or as an answer to a question when you want to acknowledge that the other person's argument/answer makes sense, and you are willing to accept it and surrender your position, or simply that you accept their answer. It means something like, 'Ok, you're right' or 'Ok, that makes sense' -- hence, "fair enough" = "your answer is fair enough for me to accept." Example 1: Person 1: Do you want to go out for burgers tonight? Person 2: No, we have spent too much on restaurants this week already, and we have leftovers in the fridge that we need to eat. Person 1: Fair enough. Example 2: Person 1: Would you like some cookies? Person 2: No thanks, I'm trying to watch my sugar. Person 1: Ok, fair enough.

Fair enough pretty much just means "Fine, ok". It's usually just said alone followed by an explanation of why it's okay and most of the time it's used to concede an argument. Person 1: "You can't deny that I'm a better person than you." Person 2: "Fair enough, you did help that old lady across the street."
