What are advantages and disadvantages of reading?

Hi Omar. The main advantages of reading is that books rely on the readers' imaginations to visualise characters and places in their own minds. Reading also develops your vocabulary and writing skills. A film for example, only has the director's idea of characters and locations, whereas a book allows the reader to be more creative by almost participating in the work.
As for a disadvantage, you could say that reading is time consuming.

I don't think that reading has disadvantages, the more you read the more you develop your vocabulary and writing skills and enlarge your knowledge.
