How do Swedes pronounce 'i' and 'y'? :)
Hi, I noticed that the Swedish 'i' and 'y' are pronounced in a very special way compared to elsewhere in Scandinavia :) I don't know how to describe it, but it sounds like the letters are pronounced further back in the throat than in other languages... It's a very charming sound, but I have no idea how you say these sounds. :)
Do Swedes really pronounce these letters differently than Norwegians/Danes and does anybody know the IPA for these sounds? :)
