한도 vs 제한 What is the difference between 한도 and 제한? Is there any other words for "limit"?

I'm not a native Korean speaker, but my reading of 한도 (限度) is "limit of degree", meaning the level or amount of something. For example, you could say that 100 degrees celsius is the 한도 of water as a liquid. Or my credit card has a 한도 of 1000 dollars. I would expect that in a lot of cases, the use is interchangable with 제한(制限) - but 제한 has the nuance of being an (external?) restriction. So if my father gives me a stack of money, and says "only spend $50 per day", then 제한 is $50. Or the phrase "speed limit" 제한속도, where the speed is being restricted by an outside thing. If there are any native speakers, feel free to offer a better explanation.

한도: it's usually a very specific (maximum) numeric value. ex) 카드 한도 = credit card maximum charge limit 제한: Its the more ambiguous term. 이 상황에서 내 권한은 제한적이다 = my power is rather limited in this situation.

한도 is more used as a word when you say its a just limit in your ability or boundary that you can reach to like an end,, but 제한 is more used when someone/something stops you to go forwards from something. exs) 한도 내에서 돈을 쓰다. spend money within the limits./ 신용카드의 한도를 변경하다 change the limit on your credit card./ 제한된 환경에서 자라다 grow up in a limited environment/ 한 발자국 더 가는 것을 제한합니다. You are limited to take one step forward from there. hope it helps :-))***~~~
