The accent is different in Spain than in Latin America. The Latin America accent it's not bad, only it's different. And in Latin America also there are a lot of different accents.

But it's important say the next: The spanish language it's only one, if you learn Spanish, every people of Hispanics countries understand you.

I don't like accents from Spain. It sounds like they have a lisp and speech impediment.

What can I say? Well I was born in Bogota, and of course I prefer Latin American accents. In fact, when I see movies from Spain, I need to use subtitles because they speak really fast.

I work in a company that exports goods to several countries in Middle and South America, and I have the chance to talk with our customers in these countries. I found that the Costa Rican accent is quite similar to Colombian one. The fact is, even in Colombia we have several diferent accents. Anyway, I have heard that Bogota people accent is the most neutral in Latin America. Am I right?

Hola Alberto y Alejandro. Si bien cada acento tiene características valiosas, el hecho de que se acepte o no depende mucho de los gustos de cada persona. México, Colombia y Perú tienen sonidos muy lindos y por su puesto el acento Bogoteño destaca dentro de los más claros, como bien lo señala Alejandro en el comentario de abajo.

De todo esto nos queda conluir que para que un acento pueda llegar de una forma clara o todos los oyentes es esencial que exista un correcto uso de la semántica y de la sintaxis.
