Come si dice "sweetie/honey/love" etc in italiano? What do you say when you call someone you love?

You can say "tesoro"(honey), "amore"/ "amore mio" (love) and "dolcezza"( commonly used for female). ciao =)

I agree that "Ciao Tesoro" is a good way to greet someone you love. However, Italian allows for many variants on this, some on a regional basis (Ciao Amore, Ciao Amore Mio is used often in the south)

"sweetie/honey/love" These words literally mean : dolcezza/tesoro/caro,but it'is mostly used in Italy the word "caro". Tesoro and dolcezza are most commonly used like terms of endearment between a girl and your BF, or wife and husband, or in a family when mom calls her son/doughter, etc.(trust me,I'm an italian)

Although I agree the other answers are the more correct and probably used, I would also add "caro/cara" (dear) and, at least where, I live "stella" (star) but only used with females. Mata ne ^^
