Certified Language European Portuguese teacher with 4 years of Experience Since I completed my TEFL certicate in 2017, I’ve taught both in the classroom and in private lessons, including nearly 5000 hours online. Teaching online requires a different set of skills as a teacher, and I believe over the past 4 years I have mastered these skills to provide a balance between learning grammar and vocabulary and spending as much time speaking and communicating as possible.

I'm just starting my career as a tutor, but I'm used to teaching people through training sessions or casual conversations. My focus will be on developing your communication skills. So, we'll work with articles, texts, and other materials related to topics that interest you. My goal is to make your learning process fun!!!

Professora de português para estrangeiros Iniciei minha carreira nos anos 80, cursando Letras, com habilitação para lecionar em escolas, no ensino regular e médio, na disciplina de Português. Nesta trajetória, cursei ainda Pedagogia e História, e fiz pós-graduação em Psicopedagogia Institucional, Teatro na Educação, e Tutorial para Ensino à Distância. Sempre apreciei a arte e a comunicação como bases importantes do meu conteúdo e, assim, pude me utilizar também da literatura que eu escrevia, de poemas e peças de teatro, para aplicar nos meus contextos de sala de aula, o que me resultou em cinco livros publicados, alguns de temas voltados para o ensino das aulas que ministrei.

CELTA certification acquired in December 2020. My experience started in 2018 in Peru where I taught English in two language schools for a year. In the meantime I applied to be a community tutor here at Italki where I have been teaching not only English but also Portuguese and Spanish. My passion for teaching only grew with the time so I took a CELTA certificate in the end of 2020 and this experience provided me with a solid base and opened the way in many aspects of my career.
