It was always a desire for me to educate and teach and I am overjoyed to share that I have been teaching English for more than 3 years now and my passion is continuously growing as I undertake further in teaching. In my years in teaching, I acquired a range of exposure in teaching students from different nationalities, cultures, and all walks of life. Though this seems quite different from teaching a language, it was, in fact, excellent preparation for my career as an English teacher. Learning correct pronunciation involves learning unfamiliar movements. It is much more a physical skill than an academic exercise. To achieve fluency in speaking, one cannot carefully think about each word or phrase --- words and phrases must be automatic. To learn to speak automatically, one must practice regularly and diligently. I prefer to correct a student's mistakes immediately so that s/he is more likely to remember the correct usage.
