Besides reading, I do excersices like English texts to learn new English vocabulary. For example, When I read an unknown word for me I look for the meaning and after that, I make up a story where I can use that new word. I make a list and pick up or choose three words at random, and try to create a story. It is nor easy most of the time, because I have to relate those different words to a logic and armony good story. This is one of the ways I like to practice my English writing, as if I don't do it on this way I get bored. Otherwise, this kind of language excersice develop my creative part and that makes me feel happy and enjoy the process.
